The South African Society for Cultural History (SASCH) is an academic society, established in 1982, with the purpose of promoting Cultural History as a discipline in South Africa.

WHAT DOES THE SASCH DO?
§  Arrange congresses, conferences and seminars on Cultural History
§  Encourage research and publication of scientific articles of a cultural historical nature
§  Make recommendations to authorities and organisations regarding the conservation of South African heritage
§  Establish contact between cultural historians and other interested persons and parties
WHAT ADVANTAGES DOES MEMBERSHIP HOLD?
A member receives:
§  Two editions of the South African Journal for Cultural History per year
§  Two editions of the society’s Newsletter per year.
§  The opportunity to attend all SASCH congresses and conferences at reduced cost
§  Automatic membership of a SASCH regional branch

In this way the member stays in touch with cultural historians and the most recent developments in Cultural History.
 
HOW TO APPLY FOR MEMBERSHIP
Complete the application form and forward with payment or proof of payment to the SASCH. Membership is subject to council approval. The yearly membership fees are as follows:
